The Human Resources department is not just responsible for staff recruitment and personnel matters, but also serves the needs of staff and employees in respect of welfare, pensions, travel arrangements, visa renewals and local liaison. S. Suryanarayan, Director of Human Resources
S Suryanarayan, Surya to friends and colleagues, spent his childhood until his graduation in Bhopal where he completed his bachelors in science. After that he spent 2 years working as a plant personnel manager with Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) in Rourkela, Orissa. Then he completed his PGDPM&IR from XLRI, Jamshedpur in 2001. After his post graduation he has worked in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi where he was working last with Thomas Cook (India) Ltd. as Associate Vice President, Human Resources (Northern Region). He is married to Uma and has a 4 year old son Ayush.
Vimmi Dang Negi, Human Resources Officer
Vimmi has a Bachelor of Arts and an MBA in Human Resources Management. Before Woodstock Vimmi worked for the World Bank Aided Forestry Project and the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. Vimmi thinks her position should be the 'Humane' resources officer! She is married to Ajay Negi, Woodstock's Registrar. Together they are blessed with "a little angel", Vedika, who has made their lives even better.
Sareena Pun Human Resources Officer
Sareena's first tenure at Woodstock ran from Jan 2006 – June 2007 in the capacity of HR Assistant. She rejoined Woodstock in December 2008 as Human Resources Officer. Sareena has a Diploma in Secretarial Practice from the Y.W.C.A., a PG Diploma in Computer Apps from CMC and an Advanced Post-Grad Diploma in HRM from IMT. Her 14 years of experience include working at Woodstock, Steelage-Gunnebo, ICRIER and international schools such as Banyan Tree and Pathways. Her favourite pastimes have changed from cooking and music to her baby daughter, Nitya the greatest joy of her life.
Judy Crider '69, Staff Welfare Officer
A graduate of the school, class of 1969, Judy returned to the community and worked for ten years in the high school boy's residence. In 1989 she began the second phase of her career as an executive secretary and office manager in many departments. This year Judy has begun the important task of staff welfare. Outside of school Judy loves to shop and help other people spend their money and she has a passion for the colour purple.
Malti Chelvam, Hospitality Co-ordinator
Malti joined Woodstock in 1988 as a Dorm parent at Ridgewood. Prior to joining Woodstock she was a secondary science school teacher with degrees in Education and Science. Malti transferred to Edgehill as a supervisor and also performed the School Hostess position. After 22 years at Woodstock, Malti is the Hospitality Co-ordinator in the school. She is married to Samuel (SP) who is the Security Officer for Woodstock. Their two married sons graduated from Woodstock and she has one grand daughter.
