The world's most popular game, Football, or Soccer, has a legion of adoring fans and players in Woodstock. Woodstock students take part in several inter-school and inter-house football competitions, featuring well-organized boys' and girls' teams.
One of the highlights of Woodstock's football calendar is the boys' team's annual participation in the prestigious Jackie Memorial Tournament at the St. George's College in Mussoorie. The tournament features several teams from in and around Mussoorie playing for the top prize. Another large tournament, held soon afterwards, is the tournament at the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun. This involves 16 different school teams from Uttarakhand and beyond. The boys' team also takes part in other tournaments, including a nine-a-side tournament at the British School in New Delhi, and friendly matches with schools such as Pathways.
The Woodstock girls' team also takes part in inter-school matches and friendlies in Mussoorie, and occasionally takes a trip down to Delhi to play other schools such as the American Embassy School (AES).
Taking advantage of the gym facility and equipment, an inter-house Box Soccer tournament was introduced towards the end of the Fall 2009 semester. Held at the basketball court in the Win Mumby gymnasium, this breathless and colourful competition quickly became one of the favourite sporting events of the year for the players (from Grade 6 above) and the adoring fans.
