Track & Field events capture the imagination of Woodstock students for large parts of the Fall Semester. The school's three houses - Eagles, Merlins, and Condors - battle against each other in inter-house track & field competitions. Woodstock also faces up to other Mussoorie schools such as Wynberg-Allen, St. Georges' and Waverly Convent during annual inter-school athletics competitions.
The annual inter-house 'Sports Day' is held around September every year at Woodstock's Hanson Field, and features track & field competitions for students from Grades 6-12. A large audience of supporting students adds colour to the day-long event, which includes 80 metre hurdles, 100 metre hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 800 metre race, 400 metre dash, 200 metre dash, and the 100 metre dash. The highlight event, for both the participants and the audience, is the 4 x 100 relays that take place at the end of the day. It is a tradition for Woodstock to host an inter-school relay race against teams from other nearby schools.
Another Woodstock tradition for the Sports Day is the 400 meter dash for the school's employees. Staff members, too, get a chance to display their skills and competitive spirit in a staff 4 * 100 relay.
The best student athletes are chosen to take part in the inter-school athletics competition at Wynberg-Allen, sometimes known as the Mussoorie Olympics. Supporters of several local schools cheer on as their athletes take part in events on the field.
